ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
[Peb Pbess -aaaooiATioNj lnvereargill, June 15. A peculiar accident happened at Laymond's sawmill, near Tuatapere, on Friday, when a young man named Bennett was seriously injured. Ho was struck in the neck by a board which flew from one of the circular saws, cutting his throat almost from ear to ear. Dr. Trotter, of Rivertoijj was at once sent for. and he put in a number of stitches, and made the patient as comfortable as possible until he could be sent down by train to—the Riverton hospital the next day. Napier, June 15. The body of a man named Edward Cbghlan, aged 33/who was missing for several days, was found in a creek on the, Clifton station, near Clive, yesterday morning. A man named Thomas W. Boyd, said to have recently arrived from the South Island, shot himself behind the ear in Tennyson street to-night, and was removed to the hospital in a serious condition.
