AN UNFORTUNATE FATALITY. [Per Press Association, 1 Tixnaru, June 14. A young man named William (or David) Wells, belonging somewhere south, but employed lately as a farm hand at Willowbridge, was killed in a fight with another young fellow named Landers. The fight • occurred at Morven on Friday night. Landers appeared to bo getting the wo.* -mf his last blow knocked down Wells, who never rose again. Seeing that he did not come round, he was taken to a doctor at Waimate and was operated on. yesterday morning at the hospital for intra-cranial injury and ruptured blood-vessel. Landers went to the police station and said there had been a fight, hut no foul play. He was arrested. A post mortem has been ordered.
