“KISS THE BRIDE.”

DISAPPOINTED GUESTS. iJBr Electric Telegraph—Copyright! Times and Sydney Sun Services. New York, May 30. When Robert Spencer, of Pennsylvania and Mabel Dockard, of Kansas, both members of a theatrical company, were married by Judge Miller at Oklahoma, California, the bridegroom invited everyone present to kiss the bride. There was a rush for kisses, but the judge ordered them to keep their seats while he went into the question. Two law books were consulted in a search for a precedent for such a proceeding, and the judge finally announced that the ago limit barred the bridegroom from issuing any such invitation.
