NEW PLYMOUTH WINTER SHOW.
Great preparations are now being nade for this big winter fixture, anc. the Winter Show building is a biv< of industry. Numerous workmen are engaged erecting the varion: stalls and machinery with which tin building will bo filled. Preparations for the Government exhibit are in full swing, and by the great amount of space it will occupy, everything that is worth seeing by the farmei should be there and should prove of immense educational value. J lie committee is leaving no stone unturned to make this the best and most instructive show yet held in the dis triet, and present indications point to its efforts being successful. Special trains from llawera will be running on Thursday and Saturday, and the 1,30 p.m. train outward will be delayed till 6 p.m. Excursion .fares will also be granted. A representative football match has been arranged to be playefl in New Plymouth on Thursday, so that there will he a dual attraction. Children’s Hay has been fixed for Friday, June 12tb, on which day all children will ho admitted for 3d each. With an eye to the greater comfort of patrons the Society has had the luncheon-room floored. Tlie public are also reminded of the raffle for the £SO gold nugget, tickets 2s (id.
