LABOR COURT WANTED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association- 1 (Received 9.50 a.m.) London, June 7. The dockers’ conference at Swansea carried a resolution in favor of the creation of a Labor Court with judges especially qualified to deal with the labor laws.
POSTAL CLERKS. (Received 10.5 a.m.) London, June 7. In reply to the Postal Societies, tne Rt. Hon. C. E. Hobhouse declines to establish a committee on which they would be represented for the purpose of dealing with the demarcation duties. He animadverts on the Syndicalist tendencies of the Postal and Telegraph-Cl r -noclatlon conference.
POUTSMA MULCT. (Received 10.35 a.m.) Pretoria, June 7. A member of the Railwaymen’s Society recovered £SOO damages against Poutsma and the printer for libel published in the Society’s Gazette. THE MAITLAND MINERS. (Received 0.30 a.m.) Sydney, June 8. The Australasian Labor Federation is supporting the Maitland miners in the afternoon shift dispute. The men admit ceasing work, but contend that the day men were locked out. A manifesto has been issued appealing for funds and stating that two thousand men are affected.
