AEROPLANES IN WAR.
THEIR IMMUNITY FROM CUNFIRE. [Bt Electric Telegraph—Copykioet. Tikes and Sydney Stur Services. London, June 6. War Office inquiries suggest that no gun has yet been devised capable from below of warding off an aeroplane attack. At 3000 ft. aeroplanes are safe from rifle fire, and at-4000ft. from gun-fire, while armoured aero-, planes are practically immune from gun-fire at 1500 ft. Authorities are inclined to ibeliev© that unless aeroplanes fly below these heights, there Will' b© little danger of damage from the groutid.* 4" ' ’ mmmmm
