"THE MIRACLE."
On Friday next at His Majesty's Theatre, Stratford, there will tako place the first screening of a 6000 ft. pictorial production of Professor Max Heinhardt's wordless, religious, mystery play, "The Miracle," or "it was a Dream." At the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and at Olympic (London), the success achieved by "The Miracle" was of a sensational order. It opened there on t2otli December. 191.'], and is still running in the city. When the play was first acted at Olympia, London, by living actors and actresses, thousands are stated to have been concerned in the cast. Its magnitude made it impossible for touring purposes, but this difficulty was overcome by having the entire work done in motion photography. All Humperdinck's specially written music was retained, and in its new guise if was screened at Covent Garden with results that are said to have challenged comparison with the Olympia production. For the Stratford production Van Heck's orchestra has been augmented.
