TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

The-monthly meeting of the Taranaki Crown Land Board was held at New Plymouth on Wednesday, when there were present: Messrs 0. H. Builard (Commissioner of Crown Lauds) in the chair, A. He had not fulfilled the residence conditions, and applied to take his brother-in-law as a partner.—Two months were given to complete. J. E. Wafckin, transfer section 2, block 9, Ngatimaru, 76 acres, to Ed. Meuli, consideration £1064. All conditions fulfilled. Meuli was not landless.—Approved. 'Messrs Faulkner, transfer sections 170 and 172!, block 13, Pouatu, 188 acres 2roods 39 perches, to Messrs Marsh, consideration £1415. The transferees held section 5, block 16, Upper Waitara, 833 acres, conditions fulfilled, held on O.R.P. 0. F. Marsh already holds a sub-lease of the. section now to be transferred.—Approved. Mossman, section 37, block 3, Qhura. C. J. Ryan, section ,5, block 4, Ohm a. E; Mossman, section 2, block 2, .Qhura. E. Abbott, sections 173 and 174, block 4, Ngatimaru, and sections 174 and 176, block 16, Upper. Wsitara. GENERAL. Section 8, block 11, Omona, 26 acres 3 roods 21 perches, quarry reserve, was offered at public auction on year-to-year tenancy at £2 per annum. There was no bid. It was resolved to accept the offer of 0. W. S. Hobbs, the former tenant, at £1 10s per annum. The Whanganiomona County Council applied to have five acres of the township reserve vested in the Stratford Hospital and Charitable Aid,Board as a site for a cottage hospital.—Left in the hands of the Commissioner^ T. E. Leech, lessee of* section 4. block 12, Aria, 200 acres, who said that lie had no habitiinle house on the section, was granted six months to build and reside.

W. A. Davis, lessee of sections 22 and 23, block 9, Minii, gave as a reason for non-residence that lie had met with an accident which necessitated his leaving the section and taking up light work for a time. He expected to he hack on the section in a few weeks.—Explanation accepted, provided he takes up his residence within one month. T. A. Bradley, lessee of section 4, block ;*). Mnlioe, was granted sixmonths' extension of time to bring his improvements, which are now £72 in arrows, up to date. B. W A. Hughoi, lessee of seeti«n 5, hlock 2.
