Mr Bryan, at the National Foreign Trade Convention, warned American manufacturers that the Government cannot assume responsibility for Americans who engage in enterprises beyond the United States boundaries. The United States would support citizens who engaged legitimately in trade in foreign countries if injustice was done, but manufacturers must not expect interference by force or menace of force in other countries' affairs.
