CLYDESDALE STUD BOOK.

The New Zealand Clydesdale Stud Book, Volume I, is just to hand. It is a well got up and comprehensive volume, containing pedigrees of mares and stallions foaled before August Ist, 1913, with a history of the breed, three appendices, and a list of the members of the Clydesdale Horse Society, as at the Ist March 1914. This valuable book, the want of which has long been felt in New Zealand, has been carefully compiled and revised, and should be largely in demand by those interested in the breeding of Clydesdale horses. The publication of the work has been carried out by the Clydesdale Horse Society of the Dominion of New Zealand, of which His Excellency the Governor (Lord Liverpool) is patron, and Mr James A. Rankin is secretary. Mr Rankin’s address is 87, Crawford Street, Dunedin, and will be glad to give further information, or to supply copies of this valuable book to farmers desiring to subscribe.
