He gave a superb display, Weaver being seven down at the turn. Gillies had o holes in fours and 4 holes in threes. He could have done the'sixth hole in 2, but feared a stymie. At the Bth hole he lift the back of the pin with, his first putt. 1 ! Gillies plays Graham, which recalls the struggle between these two players in the fifth round of the championship in 1910/ when Gillies was defeated.
