THE GALE IN WELLINGTON. [Per Press Association.] j „ Wellington, May 22,. A heavy southerly gale accompanied by blinding rain-squalls swept over the city last night, and this morning outside the Heads a heavy sea was running, and the squalls made navigation a difficult problem. At midday there were signs of the gale moderating.
