The Petit Journal announces that Cabinet is resigning without waiting for the assembling of Parliament, owing to 102 Socialists refusing their votes for the Budget, demanding the repeal of the two years’ service. The Socialists and Socialist-Radicals are profoundly divided on the question of electoral reform, which the Socialist-Radicals opposed. The financial crisis is serious, the Treasury being about empty.
