Notice is hereby given that the Stratford Borough Council intends, at the ordinary meeting of the Council, to be held at the Borough Council Chambers, Broadway, on Monday, the Eighth Day of June, 1914, at 7.30 pan., to make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1914, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1915, namely:— A General Rate under Section 78 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of the Eating Act, 1908, Sec. 44, of three pence in the £ on the rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Stratford on the basis of the unimproved value. The above rate to be payable at the Borough Council Office 1 , Broadway, Stratford, on the seventeenth day of July, 1914. Notice is also hereby given that the annual recurring special rate of one penny in the £ on the Capital Rating Value of all rateable property within the Borough of Stratford made for providing the interest on the loan of £17,800 will be payable at the office aforesaid on the date fixed in that behalf (being the Ist day of August, 1914), such rate for the period above mentioned to bo seven-eighths of a penny in the £ on the basis of the unimproved value. Also that the annual recurring special rate of nineteen thirty-seconds of a penny in the £ on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Stratford made for providing the interest and sinking fund on the loan of £BOOO will be payable at the office aforesaid in two equal instalments- on the dates fixed in that behalf (being the first day of January and the first day of July, 1914) such rate for the period above mentioned to be five sixteenths of a penny in the £ on the basis of the unimproved value.

ALSO that the Annual Recining Special Rate of Seven thirty-seconds of a penny in the £ on the capital J rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Stratford made for providing the interest and sinking fund on the loan of £3OOO will be payable at the office aforesaid in two equal instalments on the dates fixed in that behalf (being the first day of January and the first day of July, 1914), such rate for the period above mentioned to be l one-eighth of a penny in the £ on the basis of the unimproved value. ALSO that the Annual Recurring Rate of one-fifth of a penny in the £1 on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Stratford made for providing the interest and sinking fund on the loan of £2OOO will be payable at the office aforesaid in two equal instalments on the dates fixed in that behalf (being the first day of April and the first day of October, 1914), such rate for the period above mentioned to be one-twelfth of a penny in the £ on the basis of the unimproved value. ALSO that a water rate (ordinary supply) under Sec. 83 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, of sixpence in the £ of annual rateable value will be made and levied on all lands and buildings in the Borough of Stratford to which water is supplied and one-half the rate above mentioned on all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards of any part of the waterworks and on all buildings used as stores or warehouses or for other purposes other than dwelling houses.
