WOOL AND HIDES. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association,] (Received 10.20 a.m.) London, May 7. In the wool market prices were well maintained for all sorts. Annings reports : Rabbitskins closed on an average with a decline of 3kl to 2d; 3609 bundles were offered, and 2688 sold. LONDON WOOL SALES. London, May 6. At the wool sales the following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named : —Gear, top 12£d, average ll|d ; Teviotdale, 15d and 14 l-4d; Leslie Hills, 15d and 14 3-8 d; Ngakonui, 13d and 11 7-8 d; Ohoka 22d an dlßd. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following from their London house under date sth instant, relative to progress of London wool sales:— As compared with last sales clasing prices are about the same for lambs merino and crossbred, medium greasy crossbred, coarse greasy crossbred, medium scoured crossbred, and coarse scoured cossbred; and higher by about 5 per cent ofr greasy merino super, gresy merino medium and fino greasy crossbred ; and higher by about par to 5 per cent for groas ymerino inferior, scoured merino, fine scoured crossbred and crossbred slipe. The tone of the market is firm.
