Charlotte Lefeld asked her lover for a parting kiss, and as he complied she fatally shot him with a revolver in tho darkness. She had previously wrote telling her mother of her intention, adding that the courts would deal lightly with girls who shoot faithless lovers. Tho jury acquitted Lefeld, and the crowds inside and outside cheered the verdict loudly.
