PERSONAL.

Mr R. Fletcher has been re-elected chairman of the Wellington Harbor Board. At the annual meeting Mr J. G. Harkness was also nominated for the position. After-a sharp discussion, during which occurrences relating to the strike* were reviewed, a vote was "taken, resulting in a tie, seven members favoring- eaCh candidate. Lots were drawn, as provided for in the Act, and Mr Fletcher was elected.

Mr P. Lennon had a narrow escape from serious injury yesterday. He was driving in"'iris■cart past the .Loan and Mercantile office when by some means he lost his balance and was pitched to the ground over the front of the cart. He was taken into Messrs C. and Bv'jackson's office and Dr. Eobertson was called in. Mr Lennon was rather badly cut ahout one ear and his shoulder was strained, but he is expected to be about again in a few days.
