Suffragettes placed a gunpowder bomb on a valve in a house at Dewsbury. reservoirs, Lewiston, Inverness, but the fuse just failed. If it had exploded, r thb damage 5 *\ voulS"* have been tremendous, as it would have been impossible to stop the flow of water. LILIAN LENTON’S ARREST. CHASED THROUGH BRITAIN. (Received 10.55 a.m. ) London, May 5. After a chase through England, Scotland and Wales, Lilian Lenton, the hunger striker, who was frequently disguised, was rearrested for setting fire to a pavilion at Kew in 1913.
