TARANAKI WINTER SHOW.

The datos.ittr this popular fixture have been arranged for June 10th, 11th, 12th i\nd 13th, and there is every prospect of it being the most successful show yet held under the auspices of the Society. The entries for the dairy produce classes which dosed on Saturday last arc the best received by ■the Society so that the exhibition in this particular section should be well worth seeing. Altogether SO entries for 'miter and cheese have been received from dairy factories throughout the \orth and South Islands. Splendid acceptances have already come in for the held root competitions which close on May Ist so that a splendid display should also be made in this particular section. Farmers who have entered for the field root competitions, which comprise the following: Sutton's swede acreage (10 guineas), Sutton's mangel acreage (It) guineas), and E. Griffiths and Co's. Jersey queen mangel (5 gtiineas), should bear in mind that the acceptances are due on May Ist. Numerous applications are being received for space, and amongst them are a number of the main attractions at the recent Auckland Exhibition, so that taking everything into consideration the prospects for this year's show are particularly bright.
