There was a good selection of crossbreds and ■ a few merinos. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. ■ Wellington, April 29. The High Commissioner reports under date April 28th:—"The wool sales have commenced. There is a large attendance, including American representatives. Competition is strong. Merinos fine crossbreds all grades average from par to Id dearer. Medium coarse crossbreds all grades are very firm at closing rates, at last sales. A total of 130,000 bales of New Zealand wool is catalogued.
