The Government- Meteorologist (Rev D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: Easterly moderate to strong winds prevailing and veering by east to north and freshening. indications for a temporary improvement, hut increasing haze and cloudiness, and unfavorable change in the weather following. Barometer falling shortly.
