NOTES AND MEMORANDA.

Messrs Mullen and Marshall have a nice window display at present. To signalise the coming of winter and of winter games (especially football), the window has been arranged as a football field, properly marked off, with goal-posts duly padded and footballs galore. The whole color scheme of the display is in red and black, which is shown in jerseys, ties, etc. The display has a decidedly good effect. Loan and Mercantile will hold a cattle and sheep sale at Kohuratahi on Wednesday. Boy wanted for shop. McCluggage and Co. offer some first rate dairy farms. Mr Newton King will offer for sale by auction at Stratford on Saturday, 9th May, lease of 265 acres of land situate on the Ohura Road. For sale, about four acres of turnips.
