THE A.J.C. MEETING. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright [United Press Association.] Sydney, April 1-5. The weather was good and the crowd large for the third day of the A.J.C. Easter meeting. Results:— Second Hurdles, of oOOsovs., two miles and a-half.—Clontaft 1, HallMark 2, Loughrea 3. Nine started. Won by five lengths. All-Aged Stakes, sweepstake and lOOOsovs added, one mile.—Cider 1, Relieve 2, Beau Soult 3. Eleven started. Won by a long neck. Relieve beating Beau Soult by a head. The others were bunched close behind. Time, Imin 39sec. Coogee Handicap, of SOOsovs., one mile and a furlong.—Bon Reve 1, Rathlea 2, Erungella 3. Bon Reve took charge after going four furlongs, and won by a length and a-quarter, four lengths between second and third. Time, Imin s,‘Hsec. Easter Stakes, of ToOsovs., seven furlongs.—Carlita 1, Indiscretion 2, Mountain King 3. Seven started. Won by one and threc-quartei' lengths, l ime, Imin 28A sec.
Cumberland Stakes, sweepstake and IbOOsovs. added, two miles.—Lilyveil I, Radnor 2, Midnight Sun 8. Won by three quarters of a length Midnight Sun ten lengths away. Time, 3miu 321 sec. City Handicap, of SOOsovs., one mile and five furlongs.—Audacity 1, Cagou 2, Blueberry 3. Twelve started. Won by half a length. Time, 2miu 491 sec. YEARLING SALES. Sydney, April 15. At th© yearling sales, on account of W. and F. A. Moses, a St. Alwynno—Burletta filly fetched llOOgns., Earnshaw, of Eanclwick, being the purchaser; Earlston—Pona colt, 810 gns; Earlston—Vetica colt, ClOgns; Earlston—-Cainena filly, GOOgns,- Earlston—Carmetitina colt, oOOgns; Earlston—Lady Trenchant colt, 520gns. W. Casey, of New Zealand, paid 7 a gns. for an Ibex—Tlianma filly. TROTTING. Christchurch, April 15. For the opening of the New Zealand Trotting Club’s meeting there was a very good attendance, all parts of the Dominion being represented. The track was in first-class order.
