At the show for pony under 14.2, Dawn, owned by Mr Gee, of Canterbury, was first. At the stock sales high prices ruled. A Shorthorn hull sold on hehal fof Douglas McLean, of Hawkesbury, fetched 270gns. Others brought from 105 to 240gns. A Shorthorn hull, sold on behalf of Mr Simpson, Hamilton, brought 400 guineas. A Devon bull, the property of Mr White, Havilah, fetched the record price of 225 guineas. Shorthorn heifers, on account of Nixon and KilHnchy, Canterbury, ranged up to forty-nine guineas.
