CHURCHILL’S STATEMENT.
THE FLEET PROPOSALS,

Mr Churchill, in reply to a question whether the proposals regarding itho disposition of the Fleet were made after consultating with the Dominions, said he regarded the statement made when introducing the Estimates as self-explanatory. “1 have nothing to add,” said Mr Churchill, who added that he had seen the newspapers’ reports of Mr Mullen’s remarks. The relief creiy for the Psyche will sail at the end of April. PROPOSED CONFERENCE WITH AUSTRALIA. (Received 9.20 a.m.) London, March 24.
Mr Asquith, questioned in the House of Commons, said the Government was considering a Defence Conference with Australia and New Zealand, and was now in communication with their Governments.
