The weaners offered were a poorer ■ quality than at recent sales. On Wednesday, 11th inst.; at my Kohuratahi yards, there was a good entry of sheep and a fair y yarding of cattle., The quality of both was not equal to the average of my "previous sales in these yards consequently competition was not so keen, but fair business was done privately. Prices obtained were: 15-month steers £\ Bs, 2Kvear steers £4 8s to £5 7k 6d, f.m. ewes 9s Id, Bs, 7s Id, 6s 9:1, 0s 3d, 6s, 5s 6d, 5s sd, ss, 4s, 2s 9d, 4, 6 and;f.f.m. ewes 13s, 13s 3d, 345, forward-ewes 13s 4d, lambs 9s 6d, 8s 6d, 8s 3d, culls 3s 9d to ss, 2-tooth wethers 14s lOd, 14s 7d, 14s 3d, Romney rams up to 2|gns, aged ram* up to 16s.
At Toko on Thursday, 12th ins;:., for Mr J. C. Shield's clearing sate. I had a fine attendance of buyers with good competition throughout for all lines offered at the following prices:— Dairy cows' at from £4 10s to i:% forward cows £5, empty heifers £4 os, in'calf heffers £3 to £3 15s, weaners 6d 6d to 19s, 2-tooth ewes 14s Bd, rams lgn, lambs 7s to 10s, fat ewes 13s 3d to 14s 4d, Lincoln ewes lCs, bulls £3 17s 6d'to £5 os, 3-year gelding £22 10s, gig £8 10s.
