Three hundred and fifty members of the House of Commons have signed a memorial to Mr Asquith (the Pi® - mier) expressing a desire for Britain to be represented at the Panama Exhibition, because abstention would probably bo prejudicial to trade, also that it would affect the cordial relations existing between Britain and the United Sates. Several urge Britain 4 obligation to respond to the spirit shown by President Wilson regarding the tolls . exemption question. They . consider the present moment opportune to reconsider the decision.
Paris, March 6. The feeling against participation in - the San Francisco Exhibition is growing, owing chiefly to dissatisfaction with the American customs’ methods. The Chambers of Commerce arc petitioning Parliament against the proposal.
