Inter-section play resulted as follows : First round—West End 23 boat Ponsonby 20. Second round—Dominion Road 25 beat Ponsonby 17, West End 24 beat Auckland 18. Section, B, first round—Christchurch 23 beat Palmerston North 14. Second round—Palmerston North 26 beat New Plymouth 20; The incomplete games and the third round are now being played. Morison (Stratford) was evidently put out by Sandstein (Christchurch) on the play off.
