WOMAN'S KINGDOM.
“The Common Cause” announces an interesting experiment on the part jot’ the National Union of Women’s I Suffrage Societies. The National Union . has arranged for the holding of an ex■i hibition which shall cover the whole of | women’s contemporary activities—a j “Women’s Kingdom” exhibition is the I suggested title. Half the gallery at ! Olympia, with the right to erect a barrier and charge a separate entrance fee, has been rented from the promoters of the Children’s Welfare Exhibition, which is to be opened there in April, and the two exhibitions will be run simultaneously. The decision to hold the woman’s exhibition has j been made rather suddenly, hut- already a very interesting scheme of j I features has been drawn up. Women' jin the arts, in industry, in the pro-, j fessions, in the sciences, and in business are all to he represented. There | is even to he a section devoted to j “Women in Idleness”—a distinctly j novel idea, and one that stimulates! j the curiosity very pleasantly. Wo- j i men’s dress has a place, and with it! ; will go an “exhibition of fashion’s! I freaks,” for the organiser of which | | the tango tea and' music-hall revue j should provide an extraordinarily hap-1 Ipy hunting-ground. Ideal cottages, j working women’s rooms, a kindergarten and creche, and a cookery section are all to be included.
