The sheep guessing competition at the recent Toko Show was won by Mr J. S. McDonald with a guess of SOfiJlbs (correct weight IKKUIbs), Geo. Pugh being second with a guess ot 307JIbs. Altogether there were 208 tickets sold, the guesses ranging from 120 to 497. Our nearest newspaper neighbour the “Eltham Argus”—is to be heartily congratulated on its improved appearance. Yesterday it appeared for the first time as an eightpage paper, new machinery having recently been installed. In making modest reference to its new issue, the “Argus” says: “A well-supported newspaper is a good asset for a town, the majority of business men recognise- the fact, and the best way of making it a good asset is by patronising its advertising columns.” Kltham should not lie backward in taking this sound advice.
For absence of vibration, case of j running, high quality, durability, and low-running cost there is nothing to compare with the Douglas Twin Morcr Cycle. B. Harkness, solo district ageat. ’ *
