MISS DURACK, THE CHAMPION. A RECORD-BREAKING DAY. (Received 11.5 a.m.) Sydney, February 24 Fanny Durack created astonishing swimming records at the Domain Baths yesterday. She did a mile in 26min. Bsec, which is 42 seconds inside the men’s. It is stated she also lowered three world’s records.. She bent Vera Neave’s world’s record by three minutes 46 1-osec. Annette Kellerman’s host at this distance was 33min 21 3-ssec. Miss Durack swam the crawl stroke throughout the first 220yds in 2min 59sec, equalling her own world’s record. She did the 440yds in 6min 17sec, beating her own record of 6 min 42sec; the 880yds in 12min 52sec (another world’s record); the 1320yds in 19min 32sec (still another record). Miss Durack now holds every women’s world’s record from fifty yards to a mile. BILLIARDS. FALKINER v. GRAY. (Received 1.50 p.m.) London, February 23. The scores in the Falkiner-Gray match are:—Falkiner 11,999; Gray 10,500, including a break qf 552. CYCLING. CARNIVAL IN SYDNEY. t (Received 1.50 p.m.) , Sydney, February 24. At a cycling carnival in aid of the Olympic Fund, the hour track race was won by Halpin Patrick, covering 23J miles. The half-mile State championship resulted-: Burtinshaw 1, Wilthew 2. Only the two finished. The others fell. AVon by twenty lengths. Time Imin 9sec.
