The passes are being closely watched. Vessels are paying river dues. A MISSIONARY’S REPORT. Calcutta, February 22. The Reverend Andrews, missionary at Delhi, is visiting Africa, and anticipates a settlement of the Indian trouble. There will he, he says, no difficulty over the poll tax, and he believes the marriage question can be adjusted if the Government does not attack the Mohammedan religion, legalising one marriage only.
