ADAM v. WARD SCANDAL.

Adam sued Colonel Sir Edward Ward, late secretary of the War Office, for libel in a letter written in 1910 on behalf of the Army Council to Scobell and communicated to the press, upholding Scobell’s confidential reports, when five officers were removed, including Adam, Counsel stated that Adam was unable to get employment even in New Zealand, because a stigma attached to his name.
