The cafes and restaurants were crowded and there were eager discussions on the question of saving the King’s throne. The streets were thronged and cries of “Long Live the King! Long Live! the Republic!” were heard everywhere. The Castle is strongly guarded. A LIBERAL PREMIER. Stockholm, February 12. Baron Degeer, Liberal, has accepted the task of forming a new Cabinet. Three thousand students marched t.> the Palace singing patriotic songs and cheering. The King appeared and expressed his thanks.
