WEDDING BELLS.
o PATTERSON—PEP PER ELL. A pretty wedding was solomnised at the residence of Mr Wm. Rogers, Regan Street, Stratford, yesterday, when his niece, Miss Joyce Peppered, was united in matrimony to Mr Patrick Patterson, of Pembroke Road, j Stratford. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, wore a charming dress of embroidered Indian lawn, with the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful shower bouiquet. She was attended by her coujsin, Miss Emily Rogers, as bridesmaid, I whose dress was of silk voile trimmed 'with silk insertion, and she carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas. Mr Leslie Peppered, brother of the bride, was I best man. The bridegroom’s present |to his bride was a gold bangle, and to j the bridesmaid a gold brooch set with 'pearls and rubies. After the ceremony, j which was performed by Rev. Bandy, the group were photographed by, Mr McAllister, and then the wedding breakfast was partaken of, at which the usual toasts were proposed and duly honored. The happy couple left amid showers of rice and confetti by the afternoon train for Wanganui, the bride travelling in a tailored costume of grey, trimmed with brown silk with hat to match. Many presents and congratulatory telegrams were received by the contracting parties.
