ODDFELLOWSHIP.

VISIT OF DISTRICT OFFICERS. The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Stratford Lodge of Oddfellows', M.U., took place in the Foresters' Hall last evening, when a fair number of members were present, Bro. E. \V. Hancock, X.G., presiding. Bros. J. -McAllister, C. H. Lawn and E. W. Hancock were elected trustees of the Lodge. The District Offices for the Taranaki District (P.G.M. Bros. \V. Mountford, D.P.G.M. Melville and Corresponding Secretary C. E. Belljringer) paid their animal visit to the Lodge and placed the position of the I Lodge and other matters of importance before the members, and this was considered very satisfactory. Bro. Waugh, of Loyal Kaponga Lodge, paid a visit to the Lodge, and received the honors :>i the Order. One new member was initiated. The annual district meeting will be held at Eltham on 12th March, when general business will he discussed, and included in which will be the centralisation ami consolidation of the sick and funeral funds. P.P.G.M. Bro. C. D. Sole, welcomed the district officers, and spoke on matters of general importance. P.O. certificates were pre. >ented hy the Grand Master to P.G.'s. Bros. J. H. Harston, S. Thompson, and \V. T. Webb. Several members who are entitled to certificates, and who were absent, will be presented with theirs at a future meeting. The Grand Master (of the Midhirst Lodge) and Deputy Grand Master (of the Kaponga Lodge) extended an invitation to the Stratford Lodge to pay a visit to their respective lodges, which will at a later date he taken advantage of.
