Wellington, February 9. The High Commissioner's market report states :

Butter.—The market is unchanged. The demand is improving, but prices are unchanged for Now Zealand. The Danish market is quiet, but steady, at 123 sto 126 s per cwt. The New Zealand market is quiet but steady at 113 s to 116 s, unsalted 118 s to 120 s. For Australian there is a fair demand at 109 s to 112 s. The Argentine market is steady at 110 s to 112 s; Siberian is in good demand at 110 s to 112 s. Cheese.—The market is weaker and prices slightly lower. Complaint is made by the trade that New Zealand factories do not act in accordance with the instructions of merchants in making the proportion of white and colored. Canadian 50s, white per cwt 68s to 695, colored 71s to 725. The Xew Zealand market is slow; white, 63s to 645; colored 65s to 60s; deep red, 68s to 70s. It is estimated that the stocks of Canadian cheese at London, Liverpool, and Bristol on 2nd February amounted to 123,000 boxes, against 210,000 at the same time last year. Xew Zealand and Australian stocks at London and Bristol amount to 12,700 crates, against 1-1,000 at same time last year.
