Young, rider of Fisher in the Maiden Scurry, was cautioned “for injudicious riding and for investing money on his mount without the own-* Vs permission.'’ The totalisators handled £13,436 for the day, as igainst £17,013 last year. Iho totals show £36,111 for the meeting, against 034,191 last year.

Captain Browne adduced evidence hat Prince 1 Palatine was offered to bords St, Davids and Rosebery, The uvner told Captain Browne he wanted Jut), ooo for the horse. A JOCKEY’S DEATH.

Power, a light-weight jockey, was killed while lading Pendulous at the Snowtown races. The mare stumbled and fell, dragged Power twenty yards, and dashed his head against a fence. Power was one of the most promising light-weights in the State.
