The Geographical Journal states that Sir Ernest Shackleton, acting on the consensus of opinion of Lord Curzou and other geographers, is prepared to abandon the route behind Victoria Mountains after leaving the Pole in favor of another route, eastward of Captain Amundsen’s, and to strike new ground.
