ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

ACCIDENT ON RAMA ROAD. [Per Press Association.] While motoring from Otakeho on Monday in company with Mr J. Christie (states the Mauaia Witness) Mr W. T. Wells had a rather unpleasant experience from which, however, ho was so fortunate as to escape with nothink beyond a severe shaking and some bruises. It appears that while travelling along the Hama Road at a steady pace another car suddenly appeared from a bend or turn in the road, and in endeavouring to avoid the possibility of u collission, which seemed imminent, the car swerved and ran on to p bank and one of the wheels collapsed. At about the same time as this occurred, Mr Wells, apparently with some intention of leaving the ear, rose from his seat, just as the car struck the hank, and was at once propelled over the wind screen, falling clear in front of the car. Luckily Mr Wells escaped without injury. Mr Christie, who was steering, sat still at the wheel, and was not disturbed.
