Blenheim, January 28
A middle-aged unmarried man, named James Ford, by occupation a tailor, was found drowned in the Omaha River this afternoon.
THE DENTAL OPERATION.
George Feeder, a master plumber, who recently came to Waimate from Christchurch, died yesterday at his residence whilst chloroform was being administered for the purpose of a dental operation. He leaves a nvidow and a young family.
EXPLOSION OF A LAMP.
Christchurch, January 2S
Last night Mrs Coinn, ofi Harewood Road, was injured by the explosion of a kerosene lamp. The explosion occurred while she was sitting at a table by the lamp. Her fa£o was severely burned, and she was taken to the hospital, where it was reported to-day that no serious results were anticipated.
