A motor boat accident occurred near River View, whereby- three men were drowned, viz., Constable Kearney, Joe Green and Bichard Evans. The other occupants wore rescued. The watersiders at Wallaroo ceased work on Saturday owing to the refusal of the employers to grant them the same rate in handling salt as they do for wheat, viz., fourteen shillings a day.
