PROTEST FROM GERMANY. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright! [United Press Association, j (Received 8.5 a.m.) Athens, January 18. It is stated that Germany strongly remonstrated with Turkey regarding naval preparations, predicting that these would involve certain ruin.

The Turkish press bitterly comments on Europe’s action over the Aegean Islands, especially tin* Triple Alliance, from which Turkey expected support.
