♦ CAUSED BY SUDDEN STOP. [Pee Punas Association.] Auckland, January 17. Tuo tramcars collided at the foot >f \\ ellesley Street last night, owug to the sudden application of the makes of one car on which the lifeguard had dropped. The car following coasted into the stationary ar, and smashed the massive iron 1 tames which were bent to the ground. Due motorman, H. Such, was struck on the head by the roof above the platform and sustained two large cuts on the head.
