CRICKET.
THE SQUABBLE
A NEW ZEALAND VIEW.
[Pew Press Association.] Qhristchurch, January 10
.Mr Sims says he organised the tour because lie knew the New Zealand Council had failed in the last two or three years to get an Australian visit. A great deal of misunderstanding exists regarding the Board of Control's attitude. His team was not the first private one to tour New Zealand, and Waddy now has a team in Colombo. The Board had not declared its consent necessary, but it might be desirable. He supplied all information to the Board and presumes, from, the absence of replies, that the Board does not attach great importance to the point. His team is not vet complete.
