Dunedin, January 16

The Otago Trades and Laliour Council unanimously decided to recommend the unions to take no action' in regard to the appointment of a general conference regardig' the- Arbitration Act, as suggested by the Ohinemuri Mines and Batteries Employees Union. The opinion was expressed that the proposed conference Would be too unwieldy.
