AN UNSOLVED MYSTERY.

Further investigation of tlio mystery surrounding!; the death of Richard Mostyn Hoops, traveller for Young’s Chemical Company, was made to-day by the coroner, wlio, however, is unable yet to arrive at a definite conclusion as to the cause of death, which occurred on the 6th inst.
A TEACHER’S SUICIDE.
Christchurch, January 12
An inquest was held this afternoon ou the body of Mary Scott, a, school teacher resident a Chorltou, Hanks Peninsula, who fell out of a window at the Alexandra Hospital, Ferry Road, on Saturday evening, and died shortly afterwards. The verdict returned ■ was that deceased committed suicide by throwing, herself from a window while in an unsound state of mind. The coroner added that ho was satisfied that every care had been taken of deceased at the Alexandra Hospital, and that her death was in no way due to lack oi attention there.
