I Representative TCummiiigs, Anna,poiis, opposing woman's suffrage, offered to present the suffrage petition to the State Legislature if the suffragists succeeded, as they proopsed, in walking from Baltimore to Annapolis. A little band of women covered twenty-eight miles in four days, but four only were able to complete the trip. The representative, however, presented the petition.
