Though the population is generally satisfied with the purchase of the Dreadnought, financial circles are perturbed. Em •er Bey’s appointment is viewed with some misgiving, inasmuch as he is considered favorable to Germany’s growing aspirations regarding the Levant. Enver Bey, when interviewed, said he enters the Cabinet solely as a factor in military re-organisation for a defensive purpose exclusively.
