Sir Abraham ißahintulla, president of the Moslem League, said that after the long spell of British rule, Moslems were bound to become united and qualified to rule the country themselves. No country such as India could remain for ever under foreign rule. However beneficient it might be. He warned' his hearers lest in endeavouring to accelerate peace they retarded progress. Anarchist bombs, he affirmed, never insured progress. He denied any shadow of disloyalty or sedition amongst Indian Mussulmans.
